Lassen College Lady Cougars Move to .500 with Home Win
After an extended holiday layoff and a cancellation this past Wednesday (1/07), the Lassen College Lady Cougar basketball team finally returned to the court Friday night (1/09) at the Lassen College Sports Complex.
The Lady Cougars rode the strong performance of freshman guard Oceana Johnson to a 69-48 victory over visiting Merced College. Johnson led all Lassen scorers with 27 points. Dani Case added 11 points as the Lassen ladies improved their season record to 9-9.
Lassen will be back on the court Saturday, Jan. 10th, facing Reedley. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the Lassen College Sports Complex. Prior to the Lassen-Reedley game, the Feather River College Ladies will take on Merced. Start time for the first game is set for 11:00 a.m.
