Grizzly Boys Dominate Anderson on the Soccer Pitch
If it were a prize fight, they would have stopped it but it was an NAL soccer match and Lassen had it’s way with the Anderson Cubs, winning 6-0, Tuesday, (1/13), at Anderson High School.
The Grizzlies were led by Gabriel Galvez, who recorded his second hat trick (3 goals) of the season. Lassen led 2-0 after the first half and cruised to the easy victory in the second half. “It was a good game for us,” said Lassen head coach Dennis Michaels, “a good first step.” Adrian Orozco, Luis Carillo and Milos Chibada each added goals for Lassen as the Grizzlies evened their record at 3-3 on the year. Lassen is now 1-2 in the NAL. The win snapped a two game losing skid for the Grizzlies.
Lassen will next face Central Valley, Thursday, Jan. 15th, at Riverside Park. The game was originally scheduled to be played at Central Valley.
Note:Galvez leads the NAL with ten goals scored.
