WOW! Lassen Boys Pummel Central Valley in High School Soccer
Despite Lassen’s leading scorer being held without a goal the Grizzly boys soccer team drilled visiting Central Valley 10-0 at Riverside Park, Thursday, (1/15).
Lassen’s Gabriel Galvez did not score a goal but teammate Adrian Orozco kicked five into the back of the net. Believe it or not, following the game, Lassen head coach Dennis Michaels said, “We didn’t play particularly well. We did win and a win is a win.” Other Grizzlies getting into the scoring column were, Jordan Guess, Pedro Castrejon, Reynaldo Lopez, Chris Lilly and Garret Alby, all with single goals.
The win pushes Lassen’s record to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the NAL. Lassen will next host the Yreka Miners, Tuesday, Jan. 20th, at Riverside Park. Doubleheader action begins at 3:15 p.m.
Note: Lassen’s Gabriel Galvez and Adrian Orozco are the top scorers in the NAL.
