Lady Grizzly Basketball Team Struggles on Offense in Loss to Corning
The Lassen High School Lady Grizzly basketball team never found their shooting touch in a 49-35 loss to conference foe, Corning High School, Tuesday night (1/20), at the “Cave”.
Lassen could never get into an offensive rhythm and found themselves trailing the visiting Cardinals by 12 points heading into the fourth quarter. While the Lady Grizzlies scored 12 points in the final period, they could not slow down Corning, who pulled away for the 14 point victory. Sierra Hicks led all Lassen scorers with 10 points. The Lady Grizzlies are now 5-8 and 0-2 in NAL play.
Lassen travels to Central Valley for an NAL showdown with the Falcons, Thursday, Jan. 22nd. Thursday’s game was originally scheduled for Jan. 23rd, but was changed so the Lady Grizzlies could participate in Friday night’s (1/23), Winterfest festivities at Lassen High School.
