Lady Vikes Win 11th Straight
The Herlong High School ladies basketball team endured a five hour bus ride and some questionable officiating to win their 11th straight game, Tuesday, (1/27). The Lady Vikings came home from Elk Creek High School with a 34-23 victory over the Lady Elks.
Once again, defense was the hallmark of Herlong’s win as the Lady Vikings limited Elk Creek to just ten points through the first three quarters of play. Andrea “Peanut” Owen, led the Herlong offensive attack with 14 points. She also pulled down 12 rebounds and blocked six shots. Freshman, Rachel Silva, added eight points as the Lady Vikings improved to 4-0 in Pioneer League play. Herlong is 12-5 overall.
Herlong has a bit of break before resuming play, Tuesday, Feb. 3rd, at Princeton High School.
