Lassen Lady Grizzlies Fall to Central Valley
For the second time in as many games, the Lassen Lady Grizzly basketball team rallied from a double-digit deficit, this time , however, Lassen could not maintain it’s lead in a 46-41 loss to Central Valley High School, Friday, (1/30).
Lassen trailed the Lady Falcons, 20-11 at halftime but the Lady Grizzlies scored the first 13 points of the third quarter to take the lead. Central Valley then ended the period with 17 unanswered points to lead 37-24 heading into the final quarter. Lassen made a push but came up five points short.
Xochitl Salinas led Lassen with 18 points. The loss drops Lassen to 1-4 in the NAL, (6-10 overall). Corning is currently in first place at 5-0, with Central Valley second at 4-1. Lassen will be at home, Wednesday, Feb. 4th, for a non-conference game with Sparks High School.
