Arnold Field Fundraiser Thursday Night
![]()
The Lassen High Football Boosters Club, in conjunction with the Diamond Mountain Hotel and Casino, will be holding a spaghetti dinner fundraiser this Thursday evening (2/5) to raise funds for the renovation of Arnold Field.
The press box at the field was built in the 1960’s and has had no improvements in the intervening 40 years and the bathrooms located on the grounds are by no means fully adequate to handle the large crowds during sports activities.
Arnold Field is not only used for LHS football but also youth football, field hockey, graduation, soccer and more. Projects to be undertaken this summer include construction of a new press box, modifications to the sound system and remodeling of the bathrooms. Last year the Grizzly Football Boosters spent almost $5,000 replacing the turf on the field. The boosters also purchase the uniforms for the high school’s three football teams.
The fundraiser will be held this Thursday evening in the Diamond Willow Room at the Diamond Mountain Hotel and Casino from 5:00 to 9:00. Tickets are five dollars. For more information call 257-8006.
