Former Lassen College Soccer Coach Ousted from SBU
Less than a week after his debut on the CBS Television series ‘Survivor,’ the Springfield News-Leader is reporting that Southwest Baptist University head womens soccer coach, Ben Wade has been fired.
According to SBU athletic director Brent Good the school bought out the remaining three months of Wade’s contract because Wade did not tell the school that he left mid-season to be on television.
In a telephone interview with the paper Coach Wade said Tuesday he plans to pursue a career in acting. Wade commented, “I loved my time at SBU. Obviously, now I’m off to pursue adventures in Hollywood.”
