Ashley Novosad and Mariah Hicks were both 2 for 2, each hitting home runs in the Lassen victory. Lassen freshman Natalie Yonan was 2 for 4, and clubbed another Lassen home run.

Ken Shamrock Suspended for Steroid Use

ken-shamrockFormer Susanville, Ca. resident and former UFC champion Ken Shamrock has been suspended by the California State Athletic Commission after testing positive for three different anabolic steroids.

According to reports from ESPN and Sports-Odds.com. Shamrock, formerly known as “The Worlds Most Dangerous Man” tested positive for the steroids following his Feb. 13th victory over Ross Clifton. Along with a one year suspension, Shamrock was also fined $2,500. Shamrock’s manager has denied the allegations and plans to appeal the decision.
The 44 year old Shamrock had been scheduled to fight March 21st, in Pensacola, Florida against former WWE star Bobby Lashley, but states are required to honor each others suspension.
Shamrock’s victory over Clifton, (first round knock-out) snapped a five bout losing streak. If the suspension is upheld, Shamrock will be 46 years old when he is next eligible to fight. Shamrock is a member of the UFC Hall of Fame.
