Lassen Ladies Let One Slip Away at West Valley
The Lassen High Lady Grizzly softball team traveled to West Valley High School, Wednesday, (4/08) for a first place showdown with the Eagles, and just one day removed from a “perfect” pitching performance, Lassen faltered from the circle.

Lassen gave up two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, allowing West Valley to take a half game lead in the Northern Athletic League standings. Lassen’s Ashley Novosad, who threw a perfect game for the Grizzlies in Tuesday’s (4/07) victory over Yreka, was 3 x 4 Wednesday.Kylie Polan was 2 x 4 with a home run. Jennifer Williams was 2 x 4.
The loss drops Lassen to 15-9-2, 3-1 in the NAL. West Valley is 3-0 and alone atop the conference standings. The Lassen varsity is off until April 18th, however the junior varsity ladies will play a non-conference doubleheader against Quincy High, Friday, April 10th in Quincy.
