Lassen’s “J-No” Verbally Commits to the Academy of Art University

Lassen College Lady Cougar standout, Jessica Nolan, has verbally committed to play basketball and continue her education at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Ca.

Nolan was a two-time selection to the All-California State basketball team (including a unanimous choice following the 2008/09 season) while at Lassen. Nolan was also the Most Valuable Player in the Golden Valley Conference this past season. Nolan helped lead the Lady Cougars to consecutive conference titles in her two years at Lassen College. Nolan was recruited out of Australia by Lassen head coach, Mark Naraeu.
The Academy of Art Urban Knight women’s basketball program is run by former Stanford standout, Lindsey Yamasaki, who played for the Cardinal from 1998-2002. Yamasaki was then drafted by the WNBA’s Miami Sol. She would play four years of professional basketball.
Yamasaki became the first women’s head basketball coach at the Academy of Art University in 2008.
