Lady Grizzlies Win, Tied for First in the NAL
In a battle for the top spot in the Northern Athletic League, the Lassen High Lady Grizzly softball team shut out rival West Valley, Thursday, (4/30) at the Lassen College Softball Complex. The win pulls Lassen into a first place tie with the Eagles.

West Valley – 0
Ashley Novosad pitched a complete game for Lassen. “Ashley was very instrumental in the victory.” Said Lassen head coach Paul Moore. “She pitched a great game for us.” Mariah Hicks was 2 x 2 with an RBI while Kylie Polan and Keli Williams each drove in a run. “It was definitely a playoff atmosphere,” added Moore.
Lassen is 19-9-2 on the season and are now tied with West Valley atop the NAL at 6-1 (the teams split there two regular season meetings). Lassen is scheduled to play Central Valley, Friday, May 1st, at the Lassen College Softball Complex.
