Morissette to Run in Bizz Johnson October 11th

This year’s Bizz Johnson Marathon will feature a bit of celebrity flair with the announcement that actress and recording artist Alanis Morissette will be participating in the October 11th event.

Morissette will be running the Bizz Johnson course to raise money for the National Eating Disorders Association.

In an interview featured in this week’s issue of People Magazine Morissette said that training for the marathon has not only helped get her into great shape but it has also, “shifted how I view food altogether.”

”I’ve learned how to enjoyably fuel myself,” she continues, “Participating in this marathon has inspired me to treat my body like an instrument.”

According to the article the Canadian-born musician, who suffered from an eating disorder in her teens, is hoping to make some noise and raise awareness for the importance of healthy living.

Morissette will join an expected 600 runners who will take part in the marathon events on the Bizz Johnson Trail between Susanville and Westwood.

Not only will she be raising awareness for the NEDA charity, but the national exposure gained by her participation will be terrific for both the marathon and Susanville.
