Feather River Falls to Siskiyous in Conference Opener. Complete Stats & Our Sunday Conversation With Coach Mooshagian

featherrivercollegelogo
For the second week in a row, the Feather River College Golden Eagle football game went down to the wire, but on this Saturday (10/17), FRC came up just moments short, falling to College of the Siskiyous in the Mid Empire Conference opener for both teams.

Siskiyous – 25
Feather River – 22
FRC Scoring
> Emile Senghor – 2 touchdown receptions (29 yds & 26 yds)
> Jamar Brown – touchdown reception (47 yds)
> Ricky Mitchell – 3 touchdown passes
> Andrew Bowden – 2 pt PAT return
> Nathan Sweeney – 2 x 3 on extra points
In an evenly played game that saw Feather River take a 22-13 lead at the half, turnovers would prove to be costly for the Golden Eagles. A Siskiyous interception would lead to the game winning touchdown for the “visiting” Eagles, with just 1:22 left in the fourth quarter. Feather River would move the ball down field to the Siskiyous 19 yard line before a fumble with under thirty seconds left ended the Golden Eagle’s chances.
Feather River drops to 3-4 (0-1 in the MEC). Siskiyous improves to 5-2 (1-0).
